Schools are major users of energy, paper, food and water and therefore generate waste and greenhouse gases. Schools have the potential to reduce their environmental impact by using those resources more efficiently. Whether you are a teacher, student or parent, you can contribute positively in making your school’s environment more sustainable.’ I think one of the ways by which you can create awareness among students and improve a school’s environment is by using less toxic products at school such as batteries with less mercury, vegetable-based inks and water-based paints. What do you think could be the other ways?
